First of all, the nutrients and minerals provided by the raw food will give you energy. Secondly, though, a healthy diet will mean that you sleep better at night and, therefore, feel more energized throughout the day.

It’s also worth noting that raw food diets can lower stress levels and also make your mood a lot better. So, if being overwhelmed and stressed out seems like a part of daily life, it doesn’t necessarily have to be that way. You can try turning it around with a raw food diet.

With all the diet programs and weight loss trends that are abundant in the market today, how do you know which one to choose? After doing research, you see that the Nutrisystem diet is just one of them. If you want something that is simple and if you do not have the time and energy to count calories, plan the meals, shop for the food, cook it and size the portions before you eat them, then the NutriSystem Diet is the perfect choice for you.

With the Nutrisystem Diet, you just have to make your food selections and then get a whole month’s worth of meals delivered to your doorstep in microwave-ready containers, including desserts. This system is perfect for someone who does not want the hassle of thinking about planning, shopping for special foods while taking note of the calories each one has, cooking, and most especially dealing with having to consider the portion sizes of each dish in the meal. Doesnt this program seem like the most perfect diet possible?

Now the next question is who is the mastermind behind this easy and revolutionary diet program? NutriSystem, Inc. can be given credit as the one responsible. The company was founded in the year 1972 and is currently based in Horsham, Pennsylvania. They started out as a producer of a liquid protein diet but quickly abandoned it when the concept proved to have far too much competition and became less profitable. They started another kind of weight loss program, but that did not pan out as well. They then opened up several chains of weight loss centers where dieters came in to be weighed in and then subscribed and purchased pre-packaged portion-controoled meals to bring home.

This worked for a few years, but eventually the company went bankrupt in the early nineties. However, NutriSystem Inc. decided to try again, opening its doors in 1999 with a revamped image and diet program. They became an online meal delivery service where dieters could order their meals online to be delivered to them. Thus, the NutriSystem Diet was born. And in early 2000, they expanded their services to include phone-in orders of their monthly assortment of delicious, low-fat and low-sodium meals.

Their next step was to include older customers and males into their key demographics. This gave the program even more popular among the dieters. In 2008, the company renamed the program to NutriSystem Advanced and then partnered up with QVC, a television-marketing program known for its one hour and a half infomercials.

The company’s president was once quoted as saying that they would not use celebrities as endorsers since a weight gain in the celebrity’s part would be detrimental to the company. However, they changed their mind in the last couple of years. They have the successful testimonials of celebrities such as Dan Marino, Marie Osmond, Tony Orlando and the latest, Belinda Carlisle.

What You Should Know about Heart Foundation Diet

Heart foundation diet is a three-day diet plan which will result to reducing 10 pounds after three days. AT lunch time, dieters have another cup of black coffee or tea, 4 ounces of tuna, and one slice of dry toast. At supper, the suggested foods include two slices of any cold meat, one cup of string beans, 4 ounces of beets, a small apple, 4 ounces of vanilla ice cream, and glasses of water.

During day two, the breakfast consists of foods which include black tea or coffee, 1 boiled or poached egg, a slice of dry toast, and half banana. During lunch, the meal consists of 4 ounces of cottage cheese and five crackers. At dinner, the foods include 3 ounces of broccoli, 2 ounces of carrots, ” banana, 2 hotdogs, and 4 ounces of vanilla ice cream.

At day three, breakfast meal is composed of black tea or coffee, 5 crackers, a slice of cheddar cheese, and 1 apple. At lunch, the meal plan includes 1 hardboiled egg and a slice of dry toast. During dinner, the foods include 4 ounces of tuna, 4 ounces of beets, 4 ounces of cauliflower, ” melon, and 4 ounces of vanilla ice cream.

According to experts, this diet program provides benefits to dieters. One, this program will result to losing ten pounds. Second, since it can make weight loss happen in such a short time, it makes a good impression on dieters, thereby encouraging them more to take the healthy diet. However, this benefit may not last when dieters regain the weight quickly they have lost.

Several criticisms are addresses to this diet program, however, this is still the best program for people who have to lose weight quickly. This can slim them down and learn to choose the foods to eat in order to be rightly fit.

The super grain Quinoa is still not a common food but there is a reason why this native of South America used to be called the ‘gold of the Incas’. If you watch athletics and sports events on the TV or go to a stadium live to see a meet or a match then you may quite often see athletes/sports people snacking on a banana. This isn’t just about the fact that they may like the taste of this fruit, the fact is that the humble banana is a bit of an energy super fruit!

Bananas are a rich source of naturally occurring sugars so basically eating a banana can give you the kind of immediate energy rush or sugar hit that you might get from a candy bar. But, the energy rush you get here will be a healthy one which is why this fruit is often the snack of choice for people participating in sports or training.

So, eating a banana can give you a quick energy boost but what happens when this initial boost wears off? Well, the beauty of a banana is that, unlike the candy bar, the rush doesn’t disappear almost immediately leaving you wanting more. A banana is absorbed relatively slowly into your system so that you get a slow and steady release of energy over time rather than that simple one-off hit.
